We hold our Fathers to unrealistic standards a lot of times forgetting they're human like us.

We expect perfection from them

We demonize them when they don't meet the Heroic characters we depicted them as in our mind

We forget they were once boys too....

Children that were hurt and never got the time to heal from those wounds 

Boys that were forced to be men before they had chances of enjoying their childhoods

When we do this... we hurt our Fathers, but also ourselves 

I'm Speaking for myself when I say Forgiveness is Liberation. It is the breaking of cycles

Its the beginning of Healing

This world presents complexities beyond our grasps sometimes. Give some Grace today and in the future.
